\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe genesis of the HYPE program began in the summer of 2009 with a two-week intensive program called KAMP directed by Dr. Lora Taub-Pervizpour and Dr. Kate Ranieri of Muhlenberg\u2019s Media and Communication department and in collaboration with CUNA\u00a0(Congregations United for Neighborhood Action).<\/p>
With a gift from the Fowler Family Charitable Gift Program, the young filmmakers achieved their vision to create digital stories to provide a vehicle for them to raise their voices about issues in their communities.<\/p>
